Tip Of The Week
When washing a quilt, I always grab a box of color catcher sheets from the grocery store aisle and toss a few into the washing machine. It’s important to use more than one sheet to help trap any excess dye and prevent color bleeding. As soon as the wash cycle ends, be sure to remove the quilt immediately—letting it sit in the washer with damp fabric touching light areas can lead to bleed-over. If that happens, treat the spot with a spray stain remover and rewash the quilt with fresh color catcher sheets. These little sheets really do the heavy lifting!
