Shop 'Til You Drop... The 2022 Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop is in full swing!

Posted by Diana Wendorf on

Welcome to What's Up Wednesday!
I want to apologize to all my readers for missing the newsletter last week.  We were so busy dotting our "I's" and crossing our "T's" for Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop that time for the newsletter just got away from me.
We had so much fun with our bus tours over the week-end.  Thank you to all who shopped and helped to make the weekend a success.  The Quilt Minnesota Shop Hop continues through August 20.  Stop in a get your passport stamped.  Our hours have been adjusted to ensure everyone can make it in during this annual event.  We will be open on Sundays from 11:00 am - 5:00 pm through August 20, 2022!  And all of the Quilt Minnesota fabrics and kits are now available for purchase in store!
Now, on to new fabric....
Created by Ellen and Clark Studio for Northcott Studio, the Life Happens, Wine Helps fabric line features beautifully illustrated wine bottles, grapes, and corks in a variety of prints.  The vino inspired palette of purple, plum and green offer a dramatic contrast to the black textured background.  Whether you are a connoisseur or simply enjoy a glass of wine now and then, you will want to raise a glass to this collection!

Moda fabrics brings us the Holly Berry Tree Farm fabric collection designed by Deb Strain for Moda Fabrics.  Chopping down that Christmas tree to bring home is a seasoned tradition immortalized in this collection by designer Deb Strain. Complete with plaids, animals and other imagery of the snowy season, Holly Berry Tree Farm excels in the nostalgic! Pair these prints with corresponding Bella Solids from Moda Fabrics for some warm holiday projects.

Did someone say Trunk Show?  Yes, we are having a Trunk Show
featuring the projects from the Tabletastic 3 book by Doug Leko of Antler Quilt Design, you will definitely want to own it after seeing his Trunk Show! We all want to add this pattern book to our collection! Stop in, be inspired and see this fabulous collection before August 31, 2022!
If you are unable find an item you are looking for, talk to any Affinity For Quilts team member and we will do our best to order it for you.  We wish we could carry all your quilting needs, but items that are not basic sometimes need to be special ordered.

Our classroom space is currently open.  If your group would like a place to meet please contact Affinity For Quilts at 651-429-1039.  Evening meeting space is available; however, there will be a fee that will need to be negotiable with the shop for evening meetings.

COVID-19
Per the CDC COVID is now an endemic vs a pandemic. This means that, while some people would still get infected, it wouldn't be an unbearable number with devastating consequences that overwhelms the public, hospital systems and providers.  The seasonal flu, or influenza, is an example of an endemic virus. We will continue to monitor the COVID situation; however, masks are still a great way to stop the spread of this disease.  If you have not been vaccinated please wear a mask when in the shop.  At the current time it is employee choice if they want to mask or not.
